science term 3

Hello everyone how are you this is the new blog post for term 3 science and we are carrying on with life on mars and we are asking question so here they are.

When can a mission to Mars (or from Mars) happen? Why?

This can happen ever twenty-six months. because when two planets are at the closest point in their orbits this will mean the first astronauts to Mars will be gone for a
long time.

What are two geological features of Mars?

Mars is called a red planet because of its colour the reason for this is its large amount of iron oxide. Some other features include polar ice caps, Olympus Mons one of the largest volcano's is the solar system.

What is one possible solution from the story about oxygen on Mars?

The air on earth contains a lot of air (around 21%) on mars the are is 95% carbon dioxide so this could mean certain death.

If it doesn’t rain on Mars, where does the water come from?
The water is found as ice in the polar ice caps but they are covered in thick carbon dioxide.

How will people get food on Mars? What is a possible solution?

If a settler brought there own food do mars it would have to last twenty-six months untill the next food rocket comes and a possible solution is Martian crops would also be grown in special nutrient-rich water.

  1. Nice work on this task! I can tell you were able to re-read the text and skim for the important bits to help you answer the questions.

Some of your sentences are jumping down lines when they don't need to. Remember, you only change lines when you are switching ideas or creating a new paragraph, not in the middle of your sentences. These are just little things that will improve the overall look and quality of your blog.

Maybe next time you could include a photo or video of what we have been working on to make your post stand out!
