Art- Final blog

Hello everybody this is my final blog for arts i'm going to miss arts so much. Today we put all our art projects together on a black peace of paper and all our poems and I am sharing this work so you call all see what i have done for the past 8-12 weeks. I'm most proud of my water colour its my favourite and i'm most proud of it. The one that challenged me the most would have been my poems normal im good at poems but it got a little hard for me. Right now my favourite style of poetry would be 6 words and feelings. My over all thoughts I like it i really did art might be my favourite hurumanu.

100 words story

Hello everyone today in class we did this 100 word thing. So the only way you can do this is with 100 words you can't go under or over and we had to write about a grizzly bear. This was my story I hope you like it and I challenge you to do this.

In the forest at the pond there was a big grizzly bear who was going for a swim with his friend seagull. Hes friend told him to do a belly flop so he did he also saw a fish and jumped in for it and did a bully flop. Hes friend was cheering him on he made this big splash when he jumped and he made a bigger one when he fell in they were just going for a swim because it was a hot day and they were hungry the bear and seagull laughed they had a great day.

Wet Weather-Canva

Hello everyone today in home room I did another poster but for inside wet days. So the reason why we did this is because this year 2020 we are in our classes on a wet day last year we didn't stay in our classes so this is new. Since we are in our classes during morning tea's and lunch's we have so expectation's and thing to follow. I made a canva poster  for this and this is want it looks like.

Art-collage

Hello everyone how are you today? So today in class we did a collage so we put things together and made like a picture with paper an we put the right colours in the right place I made one and this is how it turned out.

This is want I mean by putting the right colours in the right place as you can see I have a sky, a sun a bridged, two bits of water a house and grass that's how I made mine.

Bok Choy-Reading

Hello everyone today in reading I read bok choy my last book for my colour and once again I have questions so here they are.

Describe Jacob's personality.

He can be nice but he act different around other people so he doesn't seem like a loser. He acts like he doesn't like this one person so he doesn't seem like a loser but over all his pretty nice.

Why did Jacob run off?

He felt like he was in trouble and he did something bad so he thought running of could help him but its didn't. In the end he felt bad and then he found out he wasn't in trouble.

How did Jacob feel when he woke up?

He most likely felt scared because he didn't know where he was so he freaked out. Because the last thing he probably remember is hitting the rocks then waking up in what he thinks is a random person house.

How does the author feel about racism?

I feel like he doesn't really like it and he feel like it should stop and its a bad things and i'm sure he feels that there's to much in he world and it should stop.

Predict what would happen if Ah Sum had not seen Jacob in the river?  

if Ah Sum didn't found Jacob he could have drowned and i'm sure his mother would call the cops or something and get them to found him or Jacob would have died. 

What does 'ancestors' mean?

An ancestor is like your mothers mothers mothers mum or your dad's dad's dad. Your ancestor is someone who come way before you and like your the legacies of them then your child would be there legacies its just you elder elder.

water painting

Hello everyone how are you today? So today in class we did water painting and it was really fun but we got put in groups/our class we and BH and DS. BH did the water painting and DS did something else so my colours were red and blue because I also wanted purple but we could only pick two colour so I picked the ones that made purple. This how it turned out it is a little bit more darker in real life and more clear. So the top left is blend, top right is salt, bottom left is drip and bottom right is splat. we had to do all those to see what we can do with water colours. I think it has come out really good and I like it. what do you think?

Kahawai-Reading

Hello everyone how are you today? So today I read another story we changes book every week so we can do new question and new story's talk about story's my story was called Kahawai and these are my questions.

Āreta’s personality is sweet kind caring funny because we they caught the fish she thought about the rich people and there money or letting the fish live it life so she let the fish go.

The story set well grandma and Āreta were in a lot of place like the beach the boat and the water but it look like i was set in a town because I see like a town in the background of the book.

What do you think has happened before this story started? Well from the first bit of the story i saw that they were pulling a boat so I thought maybe they are going out to the sea to catch or do something on the water.

How did Trish feel when they found the Kahawai? Well when Trish the grandma found the Kahawai and that is a Arripis trutta so a fish I think Trish felt like she could get money buy selling the fish and she could.

What is the message from the author? don't sell thing for money be happy for what you have and what you get don't sell thing just because you want money and be kind to everything and be happy for what you have.

Write a short story about what happened first (a prequel).
At the beginning me and my grandma went to go fishing but we had to pull the boat to the water it took us a while but it was so hot it felt like I was malting but we still got the boat to the water and then we went fishing the water had rubbish all through it but we keep fish me and my grandma kept talk about what fish we could get the we found a perfect place to fish and we got a fish.

What does radiation mean?
Radiation mean an energy as electromagnetic waves so something that moves waves or make waves in the water.

Taniwha Poem

Hello everyone how are you today? So yesterday and today we have been doing a diamante poem. So a diamante poem is a diamond poem so you write a poem thats in the shape of a diamond. We had to pick a character from the book we were reading here three characters. Taniwha,north wind and the water then there more but I pick Taniwha and this is want my poem looks like.

Tom And The Look-Around

Hello everyone today I read a short story call Tom and the look-around its about a boy who got left with his grandpa because his mum had to work and he meet a friend but his friend wasn't human it was a seal. Here are some questions I get to answer.

Why was Tom angry he was angry because his mother left him with his grandpa but he was left with my computer no internet and no friends so he felt mad upset feel like his mother didn't love him.

Did he handle his anger well? Is there anything he could have done differently? He did not handle well at all he didn't even want to look at his mother. He could have ask his mum why he had to be here with out his computer or why she had to work or maybe just e happy he could be with his grandpa.

How did Tom feel when he began to calm down? He felt sorry for the way he was like to his mum and he shouldn't of treated her like that and he felt like he messed up and should say sorry for yelling at her.

Is there similarities/differences between Tom's story and the Kekeno? Well between both Tom and the seal they both are alone the both feel sad like they were just left with nothing and no one.

Can you relate to Tom in any way? Yes I can e an Tom both feel alone but we always forgive in this end no matter what.

Tapa Cloth

Hello everyone. This blog post is about our tapa cloth haiku so a poem about what we did we have to right poems in a row like 5 7 5 so we can only right one line with 5 and one line with 7 and another one with 5.

So here we go.

The fish is pretend on.

The cloth is made from bark chalk.

Then it is dyed brown.

That is my poem today on jun 9th we dyed of tapa cloth I had a brown one so I use brown dye here are so steps on how it went.

1. We drew a plain of what we were doing like our patterns.
2. Then we got give this paper that you can put chalk on.
3. Then we dyed them.
4. Then we go over then with charcoal after it dried.   

These are the materials  

1. White paper.
2. Brown or black paper.
3. Chalk light brown or white.
4. Water, paint brushes , brown or white ink.
5. Charcoal.

My next steps would be to put the charcoal on but I have to wait for it to dry first before I start drawing on in it then after I put the charcoal on it I will make a blog about it.

Drama

hello everyone how are you? Today in drama we did freeze frame we were making and freeze frame from a story and we have to turn it real. Now i will explain what a freeze frame is.

So a freeze frame is where you take a story are movie or you come with your own ideas so you will get in to a pose and freeze for 3 seconds but 3 long ones and then you movie on the the next scene.

So for our freeze frame we did it off a story and these are the steps.

1. Jacob went to the lake to fish.
2. The water took him in seconds and ran into rocks.
3. Then an old man that his mum was friends with saved him.
4. Then he called Jacobs mum after getting home.
5. They went home and took him home and talked to the neighbour madly.
6. Then went home and have dinner. 

After The Storm-DLO

Hello everyone how are you? So in drama we have a reading part for drama and today on this nice gloomy day we are doing reading. Then next period we are doing drama. So for this part i'm doing a D.L.O so a digital learning object and I picked the drawing D.L.O. This is what it looks like.

The Present

Hello everyone. Our teacher signed us a task to do we had to watch a video and answer some question here are the question.

• How would you describe the boy at the start of the video?

At the start the boy was really into he was really in to his game and when his mum got home he didn't want to be disturb by his mother but she put at box and open the blinds.

• What did he think of his present? How do you know? Why did he feel that way?
  He felt happy at the start till he saw the dogs leg the through it to the ground and kept playing his game then more into the story he start laughing at the dog because the dog was being cute and chasing the ball.

• What lesson did the boy learn by the end of the film?
  To respect everyone and everything no matter what he looked like nor who they were and to care for that person or that something because we should always love what we have or what we get,
• Why is it important to be grateful for what we have?

Because you never know how long its going to last nor how long you will have it for. to be grateful for what you have you need to love it and use it or spend time with it so no matter what we have or what we should be given you should always respect it

Reading-After The Strom

Who is in this family? Sam is one of the brother, Matthew hes the other brother, Jessie is the sister then there dad and mum.

Jessie feels scared and weird about the skull they food and she want Matthew to put it back.

Would you have put your hand down the hole? Why/why not? I would not put my hand down a hole because I don't know if its safe but I would put a stick down it first.

What does strewn mean? Write a sentence using the word strewn. The class room was very strewn with pencils and pens clean it up. Strewn mean untidy or scattered.
