My Learning Story
Hurumanu: art
Name: leo
Teachers: Miss Birtch
Term 2
2020

Reflection:
Give at least three examples in each of the boxes below.
What We Did:
  •  We did poetry, we also read a book then we made a poem about it and we just did all this poem stuff. We did 3 different poem’s I forgot the names or the poem’s.
  • We did some weaving I didn’t get to do mine but a lot of other people did it with paper since we don’t know how to weave the right way.
  • We also did water painting. I got mine done and I like how it turned out and I would love to do it again. We did 4 different one salt blend drip and splat.
  • We also did tracing on the window so we traced moari design off of the window or off of our computers and then we sketched out our scenery.
What I Learned:
  •  I learned how to do bigger poems and more poems and it helped a lot because I like writing poems.
  •  I learned a lot from water painting and how to blend them and what I can do with them and how I can make the different colours.

My Favourite Part:
  •  My favourite might have been water painting. I really like painting and it was easy to use and i just liked it a lot. It also gave me ideas to do water painting in my free time and practise helping me paint better and give me good ideas to do.
  •  I enjoyed working with Miss B. She was a good arts teacher and would help you if you were stuck.
  • I also like doing the poem I didn’t really enjoying doing the ones we did here i would like to do my own one but I enjoyed doing the poems
My Next Steps:
  •  Get better at weaving or be here for it or do it at home so I know how to do it.
  •  Do more water painting to see what I can do with it more.
  • Do more poems and make more for like school and all that stuff

CARR Values:
Make a statement below describing how you showed each of our CARR values during this Hurumanu.
Commitment
I committed to doing my work and doing what the teacher tells me to. I also committed to doing my work.
Achievement
I got my work done on time and I followed what the teacher told me to do and I got it done in time and I feel like I achieved my art goal.
Resilience
If I was stuck on something I asked the teacher for help or what to do next and I would get right in to it after the helped me.
Respect
I respected my teacher and when the told me to stop talking or what to do I respected that and did it straight away.
