Orana Park trip

On Monday Bh and Tz went to Orana Park for a trip. We went there to learn about animals and to see them we went to the meerkat's at the start then we cloud told why were here. We were here to learn about the animals and why they are here after that we went to the reptiles we go to have a look at them and find them in there habitats there were frog and lizard. There were other but they were easy to find. Then we went to the spider monkeys they were all sleeping. Then we had a look at the kea's they were waiting for food. Then we went to see the lions most of them were laying down then one girl lion come over and they cuddled one of the males it was so cute. then we went to the spring box one of them came close to me. Then we sore the  tigers they worn't out in the field they were in the back so no one sore them. We sore the Tasmanian devils some of them were sleep but some were a wake and I didn't see them. Then we went back to the spider monkey again and they were being feed and it was cute. Then we had lunch it was ok it was a nice break. Then we sore the Gibbons we got told a story about Oscar he got out two times. Then we sore the wild dogs they were so cute then all of us went to the oraga tangs.

maths blog division skip counting

Hi today I will be sharing my maths with you. In my group we are doing division skip counting. I made a video to my maths here's a link for my maths. In our division we have be doing 2,5,10's skip counting we have been doing those number in our maths. Makenzie and I got through this quite fast I think for us it was pretty easy but in my opinion it was ok it wasn't hard it wasn't easy it was just right. In Makenzie  opinion she thinks it was ok wasn't hard wasn't so easy but she thinks she in the middle. I think we have the some opinion about it.

HI welcome back to my blog today I am going to reflect on my digiteach we have been using scratch and sphero to apps one on the iPad one of the computer.


I'll talk about scratch here's a link to the scratch app  you can make an animations with it you can do it with amazing backgrounds and picture you can use on it. its an ok site for me I don't really like it but its a program app you can program things to do stuff.


Now im going to talk about sphero its a little robot ball that can roll around with a controller or with a program its a cute little robot that have lights on it. I gets controled on the iPad and you use a little program on it we had a race in school with them but mine came last but I really like sphero their cute.


 

hurumanu PE

Hey welcome back to my bog this is another PE blog. Last week a team was teaching us bench ball. We did warm ups our warm ups they were star jump, sprints and high knees. The team that was teaching us was french fries.We did one drill it was sneak up on granny that was the only only drill we did. Then we went on with the game the games we did was 7 v 7 8 v 8 7 v 8 when we did the 7 v 8 the year 8 won the game.

When then other team were training we did maths what I was feeling for that maths I mean it was okay but kinda hard and kinda easy but my group tried our best. What I learn int he maths was how a field is set up for football/soccer. I never new how to set up a field but now I do thanks to that maths the strategies my group was doing what the teacher said then we added up. 

I was working on working successfully with others because I was working well with my group and keeping control of my feelings and actions when my group got confusing and annoying I kept my feeling in control.

We also had to focus on our year 8 graduate profile they were.

1. I am an outsider 
2. work successfully with other 
3. understand how my feelings and actions affect other   

Terracycle C.I.P

Hi fellow reader welcome to my blog I have finished my Terracycle C.I.P  its a company that takes like pens and colour felts in white outs all of the but if you look at my google drawing you can see what good and bad and who what when where why how we had to think of all that but I hope you like it have a great day.

We can make posters and we can go on the news and tell or community about what we are doing. We can get our school involved with all of this. I think the amount of kg we are going to get is 600kg from the whole school. What we should use the money for I think we should make new things about the school go out more on trips. new playgrounds  with new things like flying foxes bigger slides. all that kinda stuff.

Ella West visit

Today 9 of September Ella West came an visited us at Hornby High. She an author she wrote the books Night Vision and Rain Fall. She doesn't live in Christchurch she lived in Dunedin then moved to Ashburton. Ella also told us that she making a new book called (The Sound Of My Heart.)  The way they make the covers is they take 3 picture of the internet and then layer them. I haven't read any of her book but they look interesting and when she talked to us today she had made them sound amazing. I would love to read her book when I can and I will if I can but thank you Ella for these amazing book I will make sure to read them when I can and Rain Fall look like a really nice book.

Hola everyone how are you I hope you are good I hope you feel good.

For awhile in digitech we had to pick an idea and go on to this doc above ↑ and research about our idea we picked. I picked catcalling basically when people call thing to other on the street it probably hurts people. People do it anyway I think they should stop. So that what I picked to do for my research. 

This is some research I did about catcalling it happens a lot every where it never stop. I had to go on google a found out some things about catcalling there are some video and some site I found out catcalling by a friend her name is Kya. She told me about but I never knew what it was so I looked it up and its really bad I don't really like it I never been cat called but I never want to because I see how it can hurt other and but some people when they get cat called just talk but but in a funny way like this girl  she talking back just in a funny way. I think that we should stop catcalling as its not nice or respectful to others.
