EXPLAIN	I found about about Cole when I watched Riverdale I really liked his acting and his personality he was a kid that had a rough child hood but come around in the end. Hes a great actor and I googled about him and found a movie called five feet apart it was so amazing to see his acting like when he was sitting on the roof and fell that was really good acting and I love all the movies he made.

EOTC Over All

Salut everyone how are you? Today we are doing are doing a re-cap of EOTC week and what we did and how it went. Well my over thought of EOTC week it was really nice I enjoyed though all the walking did hurt it was really fun.
(Day 1)

Adrenalin Forest/Spencer Park.
Well first when we got there most of us fell in the bus we thought the bus driver stopped but then so we got up but then he went forward and we fell. As we walked up we were split into two groups and it was easier to mange and faster to do. most of us played with the dog he adorable. One of my favourite part would be climbing in the trees and see the animal. Like the sheep,pigs,dog and chickens. My least favourite part would be get stuck in the tree I didn't really like that.

City Centre.

I was fun the walking wasn't my legs hurt. First we went to Margaret mahy it was fun I stayed of the black next swing. Then we went to the library (Tūranga) and looked around got to see a lot of the library and learned a couple of things my favourite part would me Margaret mahy. My least favourite would be the library. Then we went to the museum but that was ok don't really going there it was boring I only like the horse there.

Bus 99

Hello everyone my teacher gave me a short story to read the book was called bus 99 its about a family who lost loved one in a car crash the mother was pregnant an and they baby died and so did the father. Then the mother and her two sons went through a lot of grief. Jamal one of the sons is a art student at uni and he take the bus there and home but one night the bus he normal takes an 89 but now it 99.

Novel Review

 Hello everyone today I am doing a book review. The author of my book was Roald Dahl and the book was called boy but why did I pick this book? I picked this book because I wanted to know more about Roald Dahl. I thought it was a very good book and it tell you all about whats happening in his life when he was young. My favourite would have to be I don't know really i liked the whole book. The main character was Boy then there were a couple of back characters. I think everyone can read it but I would say age 7-13.

Hello everyone today I have finished my jelly park work I picked the 8 rules for a pool. There are a lot of rules but I can't wait to go swimming but not as much as Adrenalin forest and that's the first day witch is going to be so fun.

Speech

Bonne journée everyone how are you? For 2 days now we have been doing our speeches we got put into groups of 3 or 4. Something I enjoy about my speech was writing it. We got to pick a topic we wanted to help and I picked LGBTQ+. A challenge I had with this was writing things right, getting facts right and being recorded. Some things I learned about myself about being a public speaker was that if I think that no one is I can speak without being scared.

The purpose of persuasive writing is to help things and to get other people to help that subject and also if to drag people into see the real side of it not the fake side.

Adrenalin forest

Salve everyone Today in class we are doing stuff for our EOTC week. EOTC week is everyone we can do a lot of fun for out one we are doing Jelly-Park, Adrenalin Forest and City Centre. I can't wait to do EOTC week.

I will show Commitment by… doing the activities and joining in.

I will feel Achievement when… I finally finished level  4.

I will be Resilient… even when I get stuck I won’t give up.

I’m most looking forward to… getting in the tree and completing level  four.

A time I challenged myself was at Adrenalin forest. I thought I couldn't do it because when we got there I was like there was no way I could do this but I decided I had to give it a try. I decided to skip level 1 and go right to level 2. I got past level 2 now it was level 3. This one was a little harder. I was really scared I was going to fall but as I was going along I helped people when they got stuck. Now the challenge I'm setting myself is to finish level four. 

They part of EOTC week I’m looking forward to the most would have to be Adrenalin forest it's a great place really funny and it's a good way to let go and have fun and I can’t wait for it.

 Ciao everyone. Today in class we got to make our own uniform. The reason why I choose these type of cloths because i found that blue and black go quite well together and they are both unisex colours so not like pink is for girl and blue is for guys but this is unisex uniform.

Today I am going to tell you when the term LGBTQ+ started. It started in 1988. This started in the US, surprise right with what's going on now. Did you know Trump has now allowed doctors to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people? Do you want to  know who was the first person to be openly gay? His name was Harvey Milk, he was born in 22 May 1930 he also died when we was 48 years

Back in the 19s people who were LGBTQ+ were allowed to get married. Now in most country LGBTQ+ people aren't aloud to get married.

So now, I am DISGUSTED with people these days for one, people using gay as a joke. Two, joking about people being LGBTQ+ and three dead naming people after they change their name. So it's really not ok to call people by their dead name.

You might also be wondering what dead naming is. I get asked this a lot. What is dead naming? What does it mean? Well dead naming is where you say their birth name like my name is Leo but my birth name is my female name. 

But why should LGBTQ+ be supported? We are all human so it doesn’t matter if you’re LGBTQ or black or white, we are all human and because a lot of people who are LGBTQ+  don’t get support from family, friends, and teachers. They get bullied for it and sometimes it can really hurt. I don’t want that and I'm sure families don't want their children to be hurt.

I’m sorry but we really need to support people because I don’t want people to be discriminated against because of their sexuality and I'm sure you don’t. So please can we support people again. If you know someone who is being bullied because of their sexuality please go give them a hug, tell them you support them and if it is your daughter or son tell them you love them and you will support them.

Boy Questions

 

• What have you learned so far about life in the 1920s-1930s from reading this book? Give examples specifically about how things were different or similar.

They would call there teacher Masters back then now we called them teacher. They would have to write home with letters unlike now where we can send text, email's, snaps and we can also call people. They didn't have the good of doctor's in the first character boy's dad broke something and the doctor showed up drunk unlike now where someone breaks something they check it out and "fix" it.

• If you were going to write an autobiography about your life, what would be some main events that you would include? What has made a big impact on your life?

Mine would have to be one, my school life and all the people in it and what happened and my family.

• Have you read any other Roald Dahl books? Which ones? Compare the stories; which one have you liked better and why? If not, have you read David Walliams? Do you notice anything similar between the two author’s writing styles?

I have read other Roald Dahl books and the ones I have read are 1 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2 the BFG 3 Fantastic Mr Fox. I don't really remember anything from these book but the were really good books but if I had to pick probably Mr Fox.

 Hello everyone today I am finishing off my 100 words the photo we got giving was foot prints in the snow so here's mine.

It was a lovely snowy day. I was at my friend's house. We all  decided to go outside and play with the dogs. As we got out there we saw footprints coming for the gate and the gate was open. They weren't going out if they were coming in that means someone is in the back or in the house. My friend had her phone and she called the cops. There were 4 of us so 2 of us stayed outside and 2 of us went inside I went inside we looked everywhere no one was inside the cop finally showed up.

200 words

 Hello everyone today we had to do 200 words. I wrote my story about a girl called Lilac who had cancer and before she died she wanted to swim with whales. She loved whales ever since she was born and 4 days before she dies she got to swim with whale on her 20th birthday. I really like this story so i'm going to carry it on.

HI my name is Lilac ever since I was born, I loved whales. I found them so magical and beautiful. I loved watching other people swim with them and I always wish I could do it one day. My parents knew I loved whale because my whole room is full of them, my parents were really supportive about this. My friends always said my spirit animal is a whale and I agree I hope one day I can swim with whales. It was my 20th birthday my parents said they had a surprise for my they blind folded me and then we left I just sat waiting till we get to where we're going we filling got there but I wasn’t allowed my blind fold of yet it felt like we were on water we got to the place my parent took my blind fold on I was going to swim with whales. This was on my bucket list before I died. I got cancer at the age of 16 then I lost it at 18 but got it back at 19. They said there was nothing they could do so I have to die and I finally got to swim with whales before I died.

Lang Week- 100 Word Activity

 Hello everyone How are you. i'm a bit late finishing this but this activity was for land week. It was for Niuean and Tokelauan I enjoy writing the 100 word challenge well 101 I wrote one word over.

I was on the beach listening to the waves. Then I heard this noise like people so I started walking toward the sound and the closer I got the more I could hear. There were some guys singing. It sounded so beautiful so I sat down and started to watch. Then they started dancing. It was amazing it's like they were practising something. The party is on tonight so I went out to watch the performance. I found out that the guys on the beach were the guys doing the performance. I fell in love with the performance. It was beautiful.

Blackout poetry 2

Hello everyone how is your day/night? Today we are finishing off our blackout poems part 2 so the digital version of the blackout poems. One of my story are from Alice and wonderland. I think two story's from the story. I selected some of these word because I found it interesting how the made the story come together. If I to pick out of doing the blackout poems on paper to doing them digitally I would pick digital its a lot easier and way faster.

 Hello everyone how are you? So today in class we did 100 word challenge. We had a photo of a pug in a blanket. Here is my 100 words.

I was walking through the forest and I saw this small blanket. I didn’t know what it was so I walked up to it and it moved and I freaked out and I jumped back. Then I picked up the blanket and there was a dog in there. I was wondering who put this out here so I walked around for a bit and there was no one there so I took the pug back home with me. Then the next day I took it to the vet. The vet said he was healthy. So I took care of him.

Blackout Poetry

 Hello everyone for 2 days now we have been working on something called blackout poetry. Blackout poetry is where you have like a new paper, book or an article and you pick you Favourite words or a poem. the porpoise of this is to help you see what your writing before you write it and to see if it makes sense.

My experiences with black out poetry was that I liked it and liked doing it because was a new style . I enjoyed doing this poetry style because it helps me for good poems and you can make it small big long short. The thing I found difficult in this was blacking it out it was quite hard to black it out with out touching the words in the circle. The thing I was to make this was news paper, white bored maker, pen or pencil, colour paper, scissors and the mind. The steps for this was.

1. Grab/have new paper.   
2. grab Pen, pencil, white bored maker 
3. Found a story or something is the news paper and start circling the words you like.
4. the colour the rest of the words in but the one you circled 
5. then cut it out then glue it  to the a coloured paper.

I really liked this and i would do it again.

Pink Shirt Day

 Hello everyone today I have been finishing off but DLO for pink shirt day I didn't getting to finish the first time round but I have now its 5 fact about pink shirt day.

Upstander

 Today in class we are doing an activity for pink shirt day. My teacher gave us two task to pick out of.

  I decided to pick 2 think of a time you've had to be an upstander.

The one time I had to be and upstander was with one of my friends. I notice that they were down, quite, off so I ask here what was wrong then they said that at their school they were getting bullied so I decide to let them vent to me. ( Letting someone vent is like letting them talk about what happened and whats wrong like they can go on for like hours.) So I decide to just talk to them make so joke help life her sprite again and I did. How I felt about this I love my friend dearly and i really wanted to hurt those people but I couldn't but I felt happy that I made them happy.

New Book-Boy

Well for starters I can tell that its about a boy in his childhood it also looks like he gets bullied or he pranks people because there in a slingshot and a mouse and maybe that the book is going to tell us about his childhood and what happen in it.

 Hello everyone for next term we are reading novels I pick to read boy from Roald Dahl we need to pick two activates to do my first one is going to be to open a random page read it and tell you something funny or interesting about it.

I got 84 the thing I found interesting was how they worded it they  made it like he was staggering to speak or couldn't talk or maybe even scared but it also had a little note in it and it was pretty cool.

Characterization-The Ginger Bread Man

 Hello everyone today in class we watch the ginger bread man story and my teacher gave her class questions to answer so here we go.

In the ginger bread man is the protagonist in the story because its all about him and they follow him around and talk about him but we also have the antagonist watch is many characters 1 the old lady 2 the old man 3 the cow 4 the horse 5 the pig 5 the chicken 6 the fox. These six characters are the antagonist so the one ageist the main character.

What type of character is the ginger bread man? He is a hes a mix to me I think he is a flat and round character because a flat character doesn't change much and the ginger bread man doesn't change much at all he still stays the same cheeky ginger bread man. Hes also a little bit of a round character because hes mood and himself changes with the fox.

Direct characterisation about the old lady and man? Well they told us about the old man say the he works in the garden and outside most of the day. About the old lady well they tell us they she is inside all day cooking and cleaning then we shes done have nothing to do.

Indirect about the ginger bread man? By his actions I can tell he cheeky by running away I can also tell near the end he gets a bit tired and stops for a little so a little lazy. He also doesn't trust people that well and last one hes rude because he make fun of the other animals.

 Hello everyone today I finished my character work so we had to found out what the character meanings mean here's mine.

Shapes

Hello everyone how are you? today we were working on looking at shapes. We had to talk about the shape then match up the shape to the description so here is my work.

B+E

Hello everyone so for about 3 weeks now we have being doing business and enterprise, for a short way to say it B+E.

For B+E we got put into groups my group includes Carla, EJ, Ruben and I so we couldn't have a group with the same year like 4 times of 3 times and we could have the same class 4 or 3 time in one group. So in my group we have 2 year 7 and 2 year 8 and for the class we have 2 BH and 2 DS. We also got put with a teacher my teacher was Mr Collins. My company in called Gift Pride or GP.

The product my group is making is pride flags and pride bracelets and we are putting them in a little box and then selling them. We are up to making the poster and doing the money for buying things for it or work. Our next steps are to buy the stuff and start working on getting our stuff done for the box. 

The most excited thing for B+E is selling it and seeing how much money we get for selling the box.

Perspective Drawing

Hello everyone how are you today? Yesterday my 7 class mates and I did some perspective drawing and that was the type of art we did so its like seeing something from when your sitting or standing, tall or short so basically from where you that a perspective. While drawing I found a few things difficult  1. the colouring 2. the size of some of the things those two we difficult for me. Well for the final product I didn't really like it because I don't like my drawing and i can't draw. my next step would be to get better at drawing tress and blending.

On a sunny morning 2 friends were on a little walk on a bridge and they had a great time on the walk. They sat down and had a picnic but then they carried on walking down the bridge. One of the friends decided to run along the bridge but she hit one plank and it broke she slipped and right under the bridge was a very very long drop. She was only holding on one plank her friend heard her scream. She turned around and couldn’t see her so she ran down to find her. She heard her friend yell “STOP” she stopped but she could only barely see her friend. She started to walk and her friend told her to slow down so she did. As she walked the bridge started cracking she ran to her friend and pulled her up they both jumped off the bridge falling on their stomach and then they both laughed it off and walked home on the grass.

Christchurch earthquakes

 Hello everyone today im going to be answering questions about the Christchurch earthquakes. 

What impact did the earthquakes have on Christchurch? Well the earthquake was 6.3 and it struck Canterbury in Christchurch. At this time it was still recovering from the 7.1 earthquake from 2010. The 2011 still had a very big impact making a significant change to the natural environment. So this had a huge impact this happened for 22 February 2011. 

what positives or negatives come from this earthquake? Well I don't think there are any positives but its getting fix but I can think of negatives well 185 people died and several thousand were injured  in this big earthquake. 

What have people done to help this? Some people have donate to help repair some house and buildings the where broken in the earthquakes. The nurse and doctor helped the people who were injured in the earthquakes. We are thankful for these people because they want to help so we don't have much damage in the future.

Inclusiveness-A Judgement

 Hello everyone for awhile now we have been looking at inclusiveness. This means like including people for who they are or what they are. So my teacher gave me a task by talking about a judgement I gave or someone gave to me I will talk about a judgement I have got from people. 

So I'm transgender. Ever since I have come out kinda I have been judge about it only by some people but I get support by all my other good and trustful friends coming out was the hardest thing for me. I knew I would get judge for it so I said to myself I had get over the fact I would get judge. Tho it was so hard for me to ignore people I had to try now I just remind them i'm he/they and if they keep saying that i'm a she I just ignore them or just tell the teacher.

Energy-Wind

 Hello everyone today we are suppose to pick an energy. We had to pick out of Solar, Wind or Geothermal and I pick wind we are do make and "art work" showing it but im going to talk about how it work.

Well wind is an energy how well when wind mills spin it pick up wind and then it creates energy from that. How does this work with rockets well when a rocket take off it goes into the air but a rocket goes really fast so it shots through the wind but when it gets to space some needs to help hold it in space.

Some good things about wind is that it can dry thing but also is you put a wind mill in to a windy place and it does stop being windy then it keeps going with out anything. Some bad things about wind is that if there is no wind a wind mill can't spin but also if something breaks it doesn't work ether.

WW1-Letter and Research

The reason why the soldiers went to war was to help their country and save people from their country and stop the war.  

Hello mum, dad, sister and other family members it's been a long time since I last saw you. War is getting harder and harder. People are dying, people are getting sent to hospital. I'm lucky to be alive and not in hospital. It’s hard to sleep thinking about all the people who have died and my friends I made here then died. I hope to come home soon. I miss you all so much and I hope this war ends soon. Stay safe, be brave, love you all.

1 to 6 for my sentences I picked R3. I picked this because I feel sometime that not all my sentences tell the

The Polynesians use the stars, sun, moon and cloud to help them navigate to help them know where they are going at night. They use the stars to help them know where north, east, west and south are. The stars help them see this by pointing to where it is or lining it to that way nowadays there different ways to know north, east, west and south. People can also tell the time with the sun and clouds.

A star copes, what is it? Well it’s not a physical object but more like a mental map, It’s just another way to help the Polynesians know where they go and to show them where the stars are going and they can follow it.

How does the rover and Polynesian act the same? They both need a human copse to know where to go. They also both use space and stars. The boat/rover might follow or know where to go but they both need humans to help navigate to places.

They relate by a couple of things: a human, space and stars but so many other things that they can relate with  and connect together.

People can also tell the time with the sun, clouds, stars and moons
